Screw Jam Privacy Policy
About this policy
Screw Jam is a puzzle game from NishArc Studios. This policy covers the game and its online guest, progress and session services. Android package: com.screwjam.screw_jam.
Guest identity and nicknames
The game creates a random installation registration identifier and a guest player ID. An authentication token is stored on your device to reconnect securely to that guest. No email address, password or real name is required to play. You can change the guest nickname; please avoid entering a full name or other personal information.
Saved progress and gameplay activity
We store completed levels and stars, the sequential level-unlock frontier, coins, attempts, wins, current level, and sound and vibration settings. Gameplay events can include level starts, screw taps and their outcomes, wins, stuck states, undo, hints, extra slots or toolboxes, restarts and progress resets. We send game statistics rather than a leaderboard high score.
We also record gameplay session identifiers, start and last-seen times, whether the game is at home, playing or in the background, and active and playing duration. Gameplay events and timestamps help us save progress, understand use and diagnose problems. These records are associated with your guest ID and are visible in NishArc Studios' administration tools.
How and why information is used
We use these records to maintain your guest profile, display your chosen nickname, save and restore progress, apply settings, understand gameplay activity and troubleshoot our services. Progress and preferences are also stored locally for offline play. When connected, the game sends queued updates to the NishArc Studios API over HTTPS. Network and hosting infrastructure may process IP addresses and technical request logs to deliver and secure the service.
Service providers and sharing
NishArc Studios operates the website and game APIs using hosting and database providers, including Vercel and MongoDB. They process information to provide these services. We do not sell guest profile or gameplay records or use them for targeted advertising. This version has no advertising, in-app purchases, chat or location feature. Information you voluntarily send through the support form, such as your contact email and message, is used to respond to your request.
Retention and your choices
Local data remains until changed, reset or removed from the device. Server guest, progress and activity records remain until a verified deletion request is processed or we remove them while operating the service; this version does not promise automatic deletion after a fixed period. Reset progress restarts the campaign and does not delete the guest identity or historical online session records. Uninstalling alone does not delete server records.
